Dr. Catherine Syengo Mutisya is a Consultant Psychiatrist who has been in the medical practice for the last 24 years. She is the founder of the Nairobi Mental Health Services Medical Centre which was registered in 2012 and Nairobi Parenting Clinic Limited registered in 2010.
She is renown for her public mental health education on mass media which led to her being listed in Top 40 Under 40 Women in the Business Daily in 2010 and 2014. She has served as a chair of the African Division of the Royal college of Psychiatrists, she was part of the mental health task force, the chair of the Mental Health Services subcommittee of The Nairobi Hospital, the chair of the National Medical Board that assesses for Fitness for further service at the Ministry of Health and a former Vice Chair of the Kitui Health Management Board among others duties.
She has admission rights at The Nairobi Hospital, Chiromo Hospital Group, Avenue Health Care, Nairobi West hospital and Nairobi Mental Health Services Medical Centre among other hospitals. She has been in the panel of all major Medical insurance providers for the most of her career as a psychiatrist.
Dr. Catherine Wanja M Gitau is a Consultant Psychiatrist with 15 years’ experience in the medical field. During her practise she has gained diverse skills including hospital management during her tenure as medical superintendent in Gilgil Sub-county Hospital from 2014 to 2016. She is faculty in the University of Nairobi, Department of Psychiatry, since 2017.
Besides teaching at the University of Nairobi, she is a research fellow in the Partnership for Health Research and Training program. The fellowship was provided by University of Nairobi in collaboration with University of Washington. Through this program she has gained immense research skills, which she is utilising to implement task sharing in mental health among other research projects. Catherine has a great passion for mental health education/advocacy and is engaged in giving mental health talks in various forums.
She is currently the continuous medical education (CME) coordinator in the Kenya Psychiatric Association since 2017. Catherine has been practising as a psychiatrist for the past 6 years and has gained vast clinical experience in management of mental health conditions.

George Mwongera is a Clinical Psychologist. He’s a registered psychologist with the Kenya Counselling and Psychological Association. He’s been actively involved in clinical management of patients with mental health challenges for
10 years at Kenyatta National Hospital and in private practice. His interest is in drug and substance abuse, addiction prevention and treatment, psychological assessment, trauma counselling, family and marriage therapy, psychotherapy for patients with mental illness. He has consulted for a number of organizations like Truth, Justice,
and Reconciliation Commission in Kenya as the Lead psychologist.
He’s the Head of Psychological Services in the Department of Mental Health, Kenyatta National Hospital and involved in mentorship programmes for psychology students. He’s a family man and a father of young adults. He has a passion for youth mentorship programmes and trainings especially on mental health issues and personal development.

He holds a degree in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Moi University. He was a special award winner in the 23rd World Congress of Social Psychiatry held in Bucharest, Romania.

Miss. Faith Masambia Is a psychologist.
Faith has a B.A in Psychology and M. A from James Madison University (USA). She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Counselling psychology at Kenyatta University.
Faith is also a Lecturer of Psychology at Kenyatta University. In addition, she has a private practice at KMA Centre Mara Road, 3rd Floor, Room 302.
Faith has been a practicing psychotherapist for the past 6 years and has vast experience with working with children and adolescents who struggle with anxiety, depression and issues concerning body image and self-esteem.
She also works with adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, substance use and relationship issues. In addition, she provides training in schools and work places that focus on various mental health issues.
Dr. Nickson Syindu Musau is a compassionate medical doctor, Dr. Nickson Syindu Musau professionally trained and competent in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders. He has been in practice for 7 years. During his practice he has demonstrated leadership as Deputy Chief Registrar during his training. Dr. Leonard Njeru Njiru is a Psychiatrist specialising in the treatment of mental illnesses, sleeping problems and neurological conditions. He trained at the University of Nairobi for both general (MBChB) and speciality training ( MMed).
Alongside treating his patients, he is actively engaged in clinical research about the interaction between mental illnesses and medical or physical illnesses, especially chronic diseases like diabetes and hypertension.
In addition to clinical practice, he has been actively involved in the design, development and implementation of healthcare management information systems (HMIS) in hospitals and enterprise resource planning systems (ERPs) in the business world.
